CO2 produced by the fossil fuel electricity generating industry is 70% of the world’s accumulating Global Warming CO2.

Introduction / Summary

ENDING GLOBAL WARMING QUICKLY:  The Coal Yard Nuke. The world's 138,000 fossil fuel-burning power plants produce 3/4 of Global Warming's annual CO2 accumulation (Supporting CO2 Data).  The Master Key to halting the advance of Global Warming is converting coal-burning power plants to pebble bed nuclear.    MORE>>

This insight constitutes a major addition to the world’s Global Warming CO2 mitigation options.  The author urges the U.S. Department of Energy to immediately initiate a comprehensive feasibility study of converting existing fossil-fuel power plants to TRISO nuclear power.     Summary as a trade magazine article

Ending Global Warming:  You Won't Find This CO2 Information Presentation Anywhere Else.  It shows how we can halt Global Warming quickly.

Global Warming Situation.  Global Warming's CO2 data arranged in a new, "big picture" form.  Climate data presented not by a climatologist or well-meaning but naive intellectual, but by a barely-literate old engineer.

A simple CO2 balance diagram showing a quick summary of combined NOAA, IPCC, and CARMA data.  It reveals a single mitigation category that will stop Global Warming's advance quickly - in perhaps in as little as 5 years.    MORE>>

Coal2Nuclear      How to Convert Coal Power Plants To Nuclear.  We cannot avoid doing this if we want to end Global Warming.

'Coal Yard' nuke conversion reactors.  100% CLEAN ELECTRICITY - AT HALF THE COST.  The necessary conversion equipment is available now.  TRISO nuclear fuels can duplicate a coal fire's heat and produce 500 times as much electricity as wind with the reliability of coal.

TRISO nuclear fuels have been used in the United States, Germany, and other countries to power commercial electricity generation in the past.  Now Global Warming has renewed interest in replacing coal boilers with TRISO nuclear boilers and China, South Africa, and Russia have developed modern versions.  Please have your engineers run a budgetary estimate.   MORE>>

Hybrid Nuke: The Low-cost Alternative To Conventional Nuclear Power Plants.  Made from a pebble bed reactor and coal power plant parts.

'Hybrid' nuke.  A new kind of electricity plant.   100% CLEAN ELECTRICITY FAST.  Build cost will be more than coal but much less than today's conventional nuclear, running cost same or less than coal.  A conventional nuke earns about 1 billion dollars each year and Hybrids can be up to half as large.  Simple, low-cost, and quick-to-build from mostly coal power plant parts.

Please have your engineers run a budgetary estimate.  Small nukes, built near cities to minimize grid costs and problems.  Hybrid Nukes would also make excellent replacements for those small coal-burning power plants too old to upgrade to Coal Yard nukes and too dirty to keep in service.  Nothing will shorten your life faster than not having access to electricity.  MORE>>     Windmill Fantasies: Why Wind Won't Work

About TRISO Nuclear Pebbles:  The Alternative Nuclear Energy.  Per pound, three million times as powerful as coal - and squeaky clean.

TRISO Nuclear Pebbles.  Just as the advanced electronics technology for computers is in the microcomputer chip itself, the advanced nuclear technology for pebble bed reactors is in the pebble itself.  Blowing on them makes them give off heat.

Like a pile of charcoal briquettes in your grille, a garbage can of pebbles is enough to make the critical mass needed to get lots of heat out of the pebbles while the pebbles look after themselves.  Like the "bed" of hot briquettes in your back yard grille, a "bed" of TRISO pebbles is incapable of exploding.  Pebble beds are the ALTERNATIVE source of nuclear energy that offers less: Less risk, cost, and profit.  MORE>>

We Love Sunlight But Fear Nuclear Power:                                       "Natural" risks are easier to accept.

The word radiation stirs thoughts of nuclear power, X-rays, and danger, so we shudder at the thought of erecting nuclear power plants in our neighborhoods. But every day we're bathed in radiation that has killed many more people than nuclear reactors: sunlight.  It's hard for us to grasp the danger because sunlight feels so familiar and natural. ---  (MSN.com)                        Ever held a banana? It's radioactive.
